Impedance Audiometry

The primary purpose of impedance audiometry is to determine the status of the tympanic membrane and middle ear via tympanometry. It is not a hearing test, It provides a Graphic representation of ear compliance in relation to the pressurization of the ear canal, Objectively it demonstrates the mechanical-acoustic characteristics of the outer and middle ear and it also measures the ease with which energy flows through the system.
